Feb 2014:  I decided to remove the original Fiero heating and AC unit and replace it with a compact heating model from Vintage Air.  I fabricated a plate to cover the firewall where the OEM HVAC was located and inserted studs to mount the heater.  The unit will be able to be controlled by a LCD climate control module mounted into the dash.
