My kit car is based on a 1986 Fiero chassis.  I didn't have the nerve to build a custom tubular chassis.  I wanted to be able to minimize the cost and time in building the kit.  I bought it for $300.  I didn't feel it was necessary to go with the '88 chassis as I would be implementing after market brakes and suspension components.
